Total: pens contrasct for solar project in Chile

(CercleFinance.com) - Total Eren has signed a contract in Chile for the 190 MWp solar PV project of "Santa Isabel".
The project could be expanded by another 280 MWp.

Total Eren has acquired a 50% stake in "Santa Isabel" from Sunpower, a photovoltaic solar power plant with a capacity of 190 MWp located near the municipality of María Elena, in the region of Antofagasta, about 1,500 km north of the capital city, Santiago de Chile. The project represents a total investment cost of 200 million dollars.

The plant's construction, which involves the deployment of 190 MWp of Sunpower "Performance Series" modules, has just begun, with commissioning scheduled for Q4 2020. Once complete, Santa Isabel is expected to generate 500 GWh per year.
