Air Liquide: Barclays raises target price

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Barclays raised its target price for Air Liquide shares to 163 euros (from 160 euros), despite the recent surge in energy prices.

The British bank, which maintains its "overweight" recommendation on the stock, explains that the implementation of efficiency measures and the operational leverage enjoyed by the group will prove decisive in offsetting the surge in energy prices, particularly in the industrial gases and medical oxygen business.

On the Paris stock exchange, Air Liquide shares were down 0.3% on Tuesday morning, pretty much in line with a 0.4% drop in the CAC 40 index.
