Ipsos: obtains authorisations for deal with GFK

(CercleFinance.com) - Ipsos has obtained the mandatory authorisations from certain competition authorities following its agreement with GfK to acquire four global divisions of its custom research business: Customer Experience, Experience Innovation, Health and Public Affairs.


The go-ahead for the acquisition agreement was dependent on authorisations from competition authorities concerned in the 26 countries concerned by the agreement with GfK: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, China, the United States, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Romania, the United Kingdom, Russia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Ukraine.

The deal is expected to be closed by 1 October 2018.
