Eurofins: acquires new campus in India
(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday Eurofins Scientific announced the acquisition of assets in India's Genome Valley, aiming to establish a new state-of-the-art scientific laboratory there.
The scope of the deal includes a building of over 8,000m2, which will be sized to serve the country's largest pharmaceutical companies as well as smaller biotech companies. The site's activities include synthetic organic chemistry, analytical R&D, bio-analytical services, in-vivo testing and toxicological studies on product safety. Found in Hyderabad, Genome Valley is considered one of India's leading life science and pharmaceutical manufacturing clusters, with more than 200 companies and a total workforce of some 15,000.
