Eurofins: new SARS-CoV-2 sequencing service

(CercleFinance.com) - Eurofins Genomics has announced the launch of a new generation sequencing service for SARS-CoV-2, which is both optimised and cost effective, providing complete viral genomic sequences, an essential service in the identification of viral mutations.


This new service, together with the ARTIC NGS oligo kit, will be commercially available shortly and will be added to Eurofins' product portfolio to support researchers in vaccine development and the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, the bio-analysis service provider also says that it is donating sequencing capacity to national health authorities to identify VUI-2020-12/01, the mutation of the virus recently seen in the UK.
