Air France: towards a E2bn operating loss in 2021?

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM could be expecting an operating loss of 2 billion euros in 2021, La Tribune says.


Indeed, in February the group could announce an operating loss of 3.6 billion for 2020, the economic daily says. Air France is hoping for a recovery from next summer, although expects to supply 40% less seats than in 2019.

Remember that Air France-KLM reported a Q3 net loss of 1,665 million euros, and an operating loss of 1,046 million euros, compared with respective results of +365 million euros and +980 million euros the year before.

The airline announced an EBITDA loss of 442 million euros, limited thanks to cost control and government subsidies, for revenues of 2,524 million, down 67% year-on-year.

The share is down over 0.5% in late morning trading in Paris this Tuesday.
