Air France: celebrates 10th anniversary with KLM and Delta

(CercleFinance.com) - Air France, KLM and Delta Air Lines are celebrating 10 years of successful transatlantic cooperation.


The three companies have opened new routes between Europe and North America. Built around a network of 7 hubs - 5 in the US and 2 in Europe - the partnership today covers Canada, the United States, Mexico and Europe.

Clients can now use 38 more routes between Europe and North America compared to 10 years ago, bringing the offer to over 270 transatlantic flights per day.

Clients also benefit from the largest network of airport lounges in North America and Europe. Note tat Air France, KLM and Delta now carry 20% more passengers compared to 10 years ago.

The partnership between Air France, KLM and Delta results from a previous agreement between KLM and Northwest Airlines. The Air France-KLM Group and Delta Air Lines announced their long-term commitment on 20 May 2009 with a joint venture. A year later, Alitalia joined the partnership. Last year, Delta invested 375 million euros to acquire 10% of the Air France-KLM group's capital.
