Kone: technology collaboration with AWS

(CercleFinance.com) - Kone today announced an agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS); a service described as the most comprehensive and widely adopted cloud offering in the world.


Under the agreement, AWS will provide Kone with global cloud capabilities, such as Internet of Things (IoT) and analytics.

A hotel using the Kone digital platform could, for example, create a personalised experience for its guests, from lift lighting to music to guest-specific content on multimedia screens.

Kone and AWS will also work together to develop new connected technologies and solutions that could ultimately revolutionise the role of lifts and smart buildings.

The news has failed to lift its share price though - it is down 0.5% in mid-afternoon trading on Thursday.
