Nokia: participates in NEMC hub in US
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announces that it has joined the Northeast Microelectronics Coalition (NEMC) Hub, a regional innovation center led by MassTech, which recently received funding to meet the microelectronics needs of the US Department of Defense.
The funding will establish a total of eight regional innovation centers across the US, including the NEMC Hub, aiming to reinforce US global leadership in microelectronics. The program is designed to reduce US dependence on foreign microelectronics and protect against supply chain risks, while ensuring access to cutting-edge semiconductors for the Department of Defense.
