Nokia: PSE-6 trial in Lyntia network
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has carried out a real-life demonstration of PSE-6 with Lyntia, a major operator in Spain.
Lyntia was able to triple the range of its 800 GB/s wavelengths compared with previous technologies, and reduce network power consumption by 60%. The use of Nokia's DWDM network and PSE-6s will enable Lyntia to establish high-capacity, low-latency and scalable network services. The tests were conducted from Barcelona Cable Landing Station (CLS), the new submarine cable station that plays a crucial role in the global connectivity framework.
