Nokia: cross-licensing agreement with Samsung

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia said it has signed a new cross-licensing agreement with Samsung, covering 5G and other technologies, following the expiry of their previous agreement at the end of last year.


Under the new agreement, which covers Nokia's core inventions, the South Korean group will make payments to the Finn for several years from 1 January 2023. The terms of the agreement remain confidential.

The agreement reflects the strength of Nokia's patent portfolio, its decades of investment in R&D and its contributions to cellular standards and other technologies, Nokia said.
