Siemens Energy: to develop hydrogen systems for trains

(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Energy and Siemens Mobility said they have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop hydrogen systems for trains.


The two companies said they plan to establish a standardised infrastructure solution for fuelling Siemens Mobility's hydrogen-powered trains, before expanding the solution in pilot projects and specific customer projects.

Since its spin-off and public listing last Monday, Siemens Energy is no longer part of Siemens, even though the German industrial giant remains its largest shareholder. Siemens Mobility still belongs to Siemens.
