E.ON: divests Czech businesses

(CercleFinance.com) - German Energy Company E.
ON SE and MVM Group today signed an agreement regarding the sale of innogy SE's entire electricity and gas retail business in the Czech Republic, innogy Ceska republika a.s., for an undisclosed amount.

Subject to the approval of the European Commission, this transaction should be finalised by the end of the year. In the Czech Republic, innogy currently provides gas to 1.2 million customers and electricity to 400,000 customers.

The German energy group points out that this divestment is the final stage in the implementation of the remedies proposed to obtain authorisation from anti-trust authorities for its acquisition of innogy.
