E.ON: gives 'positive' assessment of energy supply

(CercleFinance.com) - After over a month in corona-crisis mode, German utility giant E.
ON provided Tuesday a "positive" assessment of its energy supply chain.

The power, gas, and heat networks that E.ON uses to secure its supply in large parts of Europe are "running stably," even in this difficult operational context, the company said.

In Germany alone, nine E.ON network units are currently ensuring that 24 million people have access to electricity and heat without restriction, it said.

E.ON has defined roughly 14,000 employees as "critical personnel" for secure network operations, and placed them under special protection.

Amongst these staff, virtually nobody is infected by the virus, E.ON said.
