Lufthansa: Discover Airlines to expand its Airbus fleet
(CercleFinance.com) - Discover Airlines, a subsidiary of the Lufthansa Group, intends to add six Airbus A330-300s and three Airbus A320s to its fleet over the next three years, the company said on Wednesday.
The leisure airline, founded in 2021, says it plans to operate 33 aircraft by 2027, up from 27 today.
Its new Airbus A330s are due to enter service by mid-2027, while the A320s will be taken delivery of and put into service as early as next year.
At the same time, three Airbus A330-200s are due to leave its fleet in 2026 due to the expiry of leasing contracts.
Since its launch, Discover Airlines has relied on Airbus A330s for its long-haul routes and Airbus A320s for its short- and medium-haul destinations.
