Thyssenkrupp: could sell steel business

(CercleFinance.com) - Liberty Steel should make an offer today to buy the German Thyssenkrupp's steel business, according to the Der Spiegel.
Such a deal could also be of interest to Indian group Tata, as well as Sweden's SSAB.

For several months now, Thyssenkrupp's management has been in talks with multiple steel groups, indicates Der Spiegel. Rothschild has been asked to do the research.

The group is currently under major restructure. At the end of September it announced that 800 jobs (500 of which in Germany) would be lost due to the decrease in orders and sales as a result of the pandemic.
