Wirecard: hailed for independent audit

(CercleFinance.com) - The Wirecard share is jumping over 6% in Frankfurt on Monday, after the German payment solutions provider decided to entrust KPMG with an audit to fully and independently clarify all the charges made against it by the Financial Times.


This independent audit is starting immediately, as KPMG will have unlimited access to all information at each level of the group. KPMG is only obliged to detail its findings to the supervisory board, but its audit report will be published.

Last week, Wirecard "categorically" rejected FT reports of possible accounting irregularities within the group, citing "false and misleading claims," calling previous articles on the matter defamatory.
