Daimler: new record year for Mercedes-Benz

(CercleFinance.com) - Daimler announced on Thursday that Mercedes-Benz delivered 2,339,562 cars last year, achieving the highest annual sales volume of all time (+1.
3%).

If we add Smart cars as well, Mercedes-Benz Cars delivered customers with a total of 2,456,343 cars in 2019. Once again, this is a new record for a full year (+0.7%).

Other good news is that by exceeding the milestone of 600,000 passenger cars sold from October to December 2019 for the first time, Mercedes-Benz achieved its best Q4 sales figures (614,319 units, +3.2%). "The ninth consecutive record year underscores once more the strong demand for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, even amidst far-reaching changes in the mobility landscape. In addition, Mercedes-Benz continues to be clearly the number one in the luxury market -this proves how valuable our brand is," said Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG.
