Fraport: 2022 results expected 'at top of range'

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday German airport operator Fraport announced a 45% increase in Q3 operating profit, which was much better than analysts were expecting.


EBITDA rose to 420.3 million euros in the period from July to September, whereas analysts were expecting an average of 390 million euros.

This indicator is thus just 4% below its level in Q3 2019, i.e. before the outbreak of the Covid pandemic, the group noted in a statement.

The airport operator said that it had benefited from the strength of its international activities, which generated 62% of its underlying earnings over the quarter.

Net profit rose by 47% to 151.2 million dollars, which was actually below the consensus.
