BMW Group: global sales up 0.8% in November

(CercleFinance.com) - BMW's group's vehicle sales rose 0.
8% to 222,462 units in November, led by double-digit growth in China and Germany, the company said on Wednesday.

BMW brand sales rose 1.6% to 189,281 cars, while Mini brand sales fell by 3.7% to 32,745 cars.

For the first 11 months of the year, BMW said group car sales were up 1.3% to 2.26 million cars.

The German car maker said that it has achieved these numbers despite the current "very volatile market situation" in what it calls a "challenging year."

"Our clear priority in a volatile market is profitable growth," said Pieter Nota, the member of management board responsible for sales.

BMW shares opened up 1.4% at 73.8 euros in Frankfurt this morning.
