BMW: BBA joint venture extended until 2040

(CercleFinance.com) - On the twentieth anniversary of BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA), BMW Group has announced an extension of this joint venture contract with Brilliance China Automotive Holdings Ltd.
(CBA) for an additional 22 years, i.e. until 2040.

In addition, the German car maker will increase its stake in BBA from 50% to 75%, subject to approval from the competent authorities and CBA's general shareholder meeting.

"With a long-term contract extension for the joint venture BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA) and extensive investments for further expansion of the production capacity, the company plans to drive dynamic growth in the world's largest automobile market," BMW says.
