BMW: to headquarter joint venture with Daimler in Berlin
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW Group and Daimler have announced that they intend to set up the headquarters of their future joint venture in Berlin.
This will amalgamate their innovative mobility services businesses, a project that they have filed with the European Commission.
“As a hub for creativity and innovation, Berlin is exactly the right location for our plans,” said Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.
Both the German car makers will each own 50% of this company, which will strategically combine and expand their existing on-demand mobility offerings in areas such as car-sharing and parking.
