Julius Baer: settles FIFA bribery allegations with DoJ

(CercleFinance.com) - Julius Baer said that it has reached an agreement in principle with US authorities to resolve bribery investigations on the bank's role in the infamous FIFA case.


The Swiss money manager said it has booked a provision of 79.7 million dollars which will be reflected in its 2020 financial results as part of a three-year deal with the US Department of Justice (DOJ).

The probes focused on money laundering and corruption involving officials and affiliates of FIFA since 2015, also involving associated sports media and marketing companies.
