Nestlé: Meunier to succeed Bula as head of strategic units

(CercleFinance.com) - Patrice Bula is stepping down from his longtime role as head of Nestlé's strategic business units, marketing, sales and Nespresso, which will now be headed by Bernard Meunier, who is currently head of the Purina pet care brand, the Swiss company said on Thursday.

Patrice Bula - who has worked for Nestlé for over 40 years - has held various positions on three different continents, most notably as the head of key markets like China, Germany and South Africa, Nestlé said.

In his current job, Bula has led the food giant's brand strategies, digital marketing transformation, as well as the Nespresso business.

As the new head of strategic business units, marketing and sales, Meunier will join the executive board, Nestlé said.

Nestlé said it has also appointed David Rennie, the head of the its coffee brands business, to become a member of the executive board as from March 2021, recognising the "strategic nature" of his role, as coffee has become one of the company's major growth pillars.
