Nestlé: invests over USD500m in Ohio

(CercleFinance.com) - Nestlé Purina PetCare announced late on Monday that it has made an investment of 550 million dollars in a new plant in Ohio (US) to meet the growing demand for pet food.


The canton of Williamsburg will thus join the network of 21 sites developed by Purina in the United States. Purina plans to employ over 300 people in its new plant by 2024. Construction will begin this autumn, with the plant expected to be operational by 2023.

This construction is part of a broader growth plan; Purina has also revealed its intention to convert an old brewery to a new pet food plant in Eden, North Carolina.
