Credit Suisse: completes rights offering

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse announced on Thursday evening that it had successfully completed its rights offering, totaling four billion Swiss francs (about 4.
05 billion euros).

The Swiss private bank said that 98.2% of existing shareholders subscribed to the offer, which would enable them to exercise subscription rights to the level of their shareholding.

Credit Suisse will therefore issue 872.9 million new shares at a price of 2.52 Swiss francs per share.

The 16.4 million subscription rights that were not taken up will be sold on the market at a price of at least 2.52 Swiss francs per share, the Swiss bank said.

In all, this offer will enable Credit Suisse to raise over two billion Swiss francs.
