Credit Suisse: wealth management unit CEO leaves

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse said on Tuesday that Iqbal Khan is retiring as chief executive of its international wealth management business.

"I decided to pursue the next career move outside of Credit Suisse," the executive said in a statement.

Market rumours said that Swiss private bank Julius Baer has had Khan on its potential list for CEO for several months.

Iqbal Khan joined Credit Suisse in 2013 as CFO of the group's private banking and wealth management division and was appointed CEO of its international wealth management unit in 2015.

Prior to this, he was a partner at Ernst & Young Switzerland.

Credit Suisse said Philipp Wehle, currently chief financial officer of the international wealth management unit, will succeed Khan.
