Bombardier: completes assembly for contract in Malaysis

(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier announced on Monday that it has completed the assembly of the latest driverless Innovia Metro 300 trainsets for the city of Kuala Lumpur.


The four-carriage, lightweight aluminum trainsets were manufactured in Plattsburgh, New York, although their final assembly and cabin interior work was completed in Malaysia at the Westport facility.

For the record, in 1998, Malsysia placed it with an order for 374 metro vehicles.

After a first delivery of 266 trainsets was completed in 2017, the Canadian group committed itself to delivering a second batch of 108 vehicles from 2020.

Bombardier has also announced that it delivered its first Global 7500 business jet, which has state-of-the-art display features - Dual Head-up Display (HUD).
