KBC: beats consensus in Q3

(CercleFinance.com) - KBC has reported net Q3 2018 net income of 701 million euros, up 1.
3% sequentially.

EPS therefore reached 1.63 euro, six cents above the consensus.
The Belgian financial group explains that this "excellent result" is attributable "among other things, to higher levels of net interest income, trading and fair value income and other net income".

KBC also highlights KBC also points out, "an outstanding combined ratio in our non-life insurance activities, and - yet again - a net release of some loan loss impairments, the bulk of which related to our Irish mortgage book".
