SLB: Capturi wins contract in Norway

(CercleFinance.com) - SLB announces that SLB Capturi, in collaboration with Aker Solutions, has been awarded a contract by Hafslund Celsio to supply a carbon capture solution for the Klemetsrud waste-to-energy site, Norway's largest.


The contract awarded includes delivery of a carbon capture plant, liquefaction system, temporary storage site and loading facility at the waste incineration site.

It also includes an intermediate storage and ship loading system in the port of Oslo, from where the CO2 will be transported to the Northern Lights permanent storage site off the Norwegian coast.

The project will now be delivered on the basis of SLB Capturi's Just Catch 400 modular unit. When operational, the carbon capture plant is expected to capture 350,000 tonnes of CO2 annually.
